Healthy Week End of April 2010

Our school is very much involved in the promoting healthy lifestyle among our kids. Very often we associate healthy lifestyle with healthy food. This is so very true, however, healthy lifestyle also involves sports and exercise.

Our class was involved mainly in two activities.

On Wednesday we invited children from Lija to come over to our school and together we did a healthy toast and breakfast.Later on, the children prepared a healthy lunch for their parents.

Parents liked the idea and really appreciated the children's effort.

On Thursday we headed to Bahrija for a funwalk.

The weather was just fine. For this activity parents were also invited.

Our Visit to Golden Harvest

On Thursday 22nd April 2010 we went to Golden Harvest Bread Factory.

The factory is really big and we saw the process how bread is made.

We had to wear blue hats for hygiene reasons.

Reading for pleasure - Our Visit to the Farm

Last week our class went on a visit to a farm.

We went by a coach.

On the coach we sang songs.

When we got to the farm we saw lots of animals.

First we saw some small lambs. Their wool was white and curly.

Next we saw some baby chicks. Their feathers were yellow and fluffy.

Then we had a picnic in a big barn and sat on some straw.

The bit I liked best was when out teacher stood in a cow pat!

Energy saving Campaign

On the 14th April we had a small activity in our school hall. We played snakes and ladders with a difference. This time round we had thunders instead of snakes and energy saving bulbs instead of ladders. It was an enjoyable learning experience. Small things count...switch off the lights when ready:)

Outing to Ta Qali

On Tuesday 30th March we had an outing. First and foremost we went To Valletta Glass. We went to a workshop and saw the glassblowers. They were very friendly. Then we had a small stroll around Ta Qali. We were so excited and happy playing at the adventure park. It was just fun:)

Tulips storm in Popeye

On Monday, 8th February we went to Popeye Village. We learned more about carnivals organised in Malta, Venice and Brazil. We had a puppet show, we did some masks and danced with the maltese carnival anthem. Just before we left we went to the romp around. A day to remember! Happy carnival to all:)

Gym stars to be

During these weeks we are having gymnastic lessons. Though at first it may seem a bit hard we are doing our best to do all the tasks. Gymnastics are fun!

A day with Mr. Macaroni

Mr.Macaroni is a singer. He sleeps in the morning.

He gets up at eleven o’clock and has breakfast.

In the afternoon he sings. He sings loudly.

At half past five he goes to work. He goes to work by taxi.

He works in the evening. Mr. Macaroni works in Sydney Opera House.

He comes home at midnight.

First he has dinner, then he watches TV and then he goes to sleep.

Spot

One day Simon took his puppy for a walk.

Suddenly, spot saw a cat.

He chased the cat all down the road.

He nearly caught the cat by its tail.

Then the wise cat ran up a tree.

Spot could not climb up the tree so he walked sadly back to Simon.
